POSITIVE BEHAVIOUR FOR LEARNING

St Dominic’s is a Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) school. This means that we are all working towards the same goal of ensuring that our students demonstrate Safety, Optimism, Acceptance and Respect throughout their time at school. As a school, we actively teach students what our school values look like in the classroom, and how we can take those values taught inside the classroom and apply them to all areas of the school and community.

Our school has four key values we actively promote throughout the school. These are:

SAFETY
OPTIMISM
ACCEPTANCE
RESPECT

Our school has a clearly established Student Behaviour Matrix and a Behaviour Management Flow Chart, which outlines the expectations across the school and how classroom teachers and school leadership deal with behaviours when they arise. Students are also exposed to various matrix’s detailing expectations that should be shown throughout areas of the school and the wider community.
